Oakhaven’s Urgent Care Campaign

Since the start of the pandemic, Individual Giving campaigns have been the stars of income streams; like so many hospices and charities in 2020, Oakhaven Hospice faced one of its most challenging years ever. With rising numbers of local people needing their care, they endured a full year of reduced fundraising activity, losing £1.4 million of income.

We joined forces with their dynamic team to tell supporters about the situation and ask for their help; the results is one of their most successful cash campaigns to date.

Oakhaven’s ‘Urgent Care Appeal’ explained to donors the incredible care their services delivered to the local community throughout the pandemic. They nearly doubled their Inpatient beds to take vulnerable people, which in turn meant freeing up hospital beds for COVID and other patients. The teams also maintained their day care services – taking them online, visited patients in their homes and offered vital bereavement support.

Featuring Liz’s beautiful story of the care her husband, Graeme, received at Oakhaven the appeal really resonated with supporters, resulting in a truly wonderful response that has generated over £200,000 and climbing.

From Oakhaven Hospice

“Working with Pebblebeach on our first ever appeal has been brilliant; they are knowledgeable, friendly and guided us seamlessly through the process from start to finish, offering advice and support when we needed it as well as sharing in our successes. They are so passionate about empowering Hospices through Individual Giving and I look forward to working with them again in the future.”
