In trusts we trust: a terrific result for Epilepsy Action
Epilepsy Action provides vital support to millions affected by epilepsy across the UK; they’re fiercely committed to fighting the fear and stigma still surrounding the condition today. Their vision is simple: everyone with epilepsy must ‘receive the healthcare and support they need’ and the ‘public respect, fairness and understanding they deserve’.
The challenge. In 2022, we were honoured to support this vision and advise our new friends on all things trust funding for their Befriending Service Project. This is an exciting new service – bringing volunteers and those affected by epilepsy together for teas, talks and some good old companionship.
The solution. We worked with Epilepsy Action to build a compelling ‘case for support’ proposition – one that could be tailored to a wide range of trust applications. With our proposition in tow, we put forward a strong check list of prospects, identifying those with the highest % potential to support using our expert analysis. The roll-out of applications was carefully considered, reaching ‘warm’ and ‘cold’ funders in stages.
The results were outstanding – so much so that the second year of the Befriending Service Project is now fully funded. A ringing endorsement, if ever there was one, for putting your trust in a trust funding strategy.
