Demelza – a lifeline for families at Christmas

Over 600 children and their families rely on Demelza’s special care each day of the year – and Christmas, even during the pandemic, is no exception.

We were asked to support the children’s hospice to create a dynamic, colourful Christmas campaign to mail to supporters as well as roll out digitally.

Enter Demelza’s ‘Elves’ – in reality, a team of precious volunteers that ensure each child gets a Christmas visit and gift to make the holiday a bit brighter. Each donor was encouraged to send back their ‘Demelza Elf Bauble’ with words of love and hope, and these were shared with the families and staff.


Demelza’s social medial plan was developed together with their #BestPossibleChristmas campaign, which ran from the launch of the direct mail appeal until New Year’s 2021.

Overall the campaign was full of festive cheer and has performed better than any Christmas appeal in the charity’s history, far surpassing its goal for this year.
